Yet, Praise
YET.
A three-letter word with immeasurable power to change our mindset and the reality of any given set of circumstances... just. like. that.
The adverb YET in our vernacular is used to emphasize increase and to denote change.
It is defined as:
Still
However
Nevertheless, or
In spite of.
But we'll come back to that. I want to tell you a story about a woman I met a while back...
Dark-hued skin kissed by the sun.
She was another one of God's breathtaking creations of woman.
She saw me watching as I took my seat beside her that day
At a local park where our children played.
And as if she could read my thoughts in that moment, she said to me:
Sister, I don't look like what I've been through.
She had a YET kind of praise
And the splendor of our King all over her face
And she told me her story...
